You can’t use the equipment you currently have at your new address and can’t sell the equipment because they are owned by nbn^TM.

nbn^TM supplied equipment is comprised of the equipment installed by the company as part of the network rollout. It varies depending on the technology that you use on your premises. It features the nbn^TM logo and comes with a connection box, cabling and wall plates.

Check Your Current Speed Plan

Contact them as early as possible if your current address is already connected to an existing nbn^TM plan via your phone and internet provider to ensure that the speed plan you are subscribed to is available where you’re moving.

Some may require an upgrade, or your current plan is unavailable in your new area. Thus, you have to talk to a customer service representative about a change in your speed plan.

Inform Your Provider About the Move

It would be best if you talked to your provider about moving houses. Tell them that you are moving to a new location and ask for advice on the proper steps that you need to take. They may have to terminate your current plan and arrange a new connection where you are moving.

Your service provider may also offer to continue your plan in the new location. Whatever the options, you should make the arrangements before your actual move to lessen the hassle on your end.

Some providers can make the transfer remotely, so they will not require you to be at home when installing. However, there may be instances when your provider will send a technician to your new address to check if any work needs to be done.

In case your current provider has no available nbn^TM plans at your new address, look for another one who does.
